Economic Review – D&B Small Business Health Index

The U.S. Small Business Health Index increased 0.4 points m/m in March amid a continued fall in the number of small businesses failures. The index reached a 27-month high as the failure ratio, which compares the survival rate of small businesses over the prior year, currently hovers around an over four year best. However, card utilization, percentage of cards 61+ DPD and the percentage of dollars 91+ DPD have all trended higher in recent years, a negative for the overall index.
